Cancellation and returns

1. Fourteen days to change your mind

You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before it ships. Once delivered, you have fourteen days to return a purchase made on us.elettia.com, with no reason required and no penalty. The period runs from the day you, or a third party you designate other than the carrier, take physical possession of the item. When an order includes several items delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.

This return policy is a commitment we make to you. It applies in addition to, and never instead of, the rights you have under the consumer protection law of your state.

If the period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or federal holiday, it is extended to the next business day.

2. How to proceed

Let us know your decision by an unambiguous message before the period ends: email to [email protected], mail to , , , or the request form reproduced below. A simple message with your order number and your wish to cancel or return is enough: using the form is not required.

We acknowledge your request without delay, by email.

3. Sending the product back

Ship the item back within fourteen days of telling us your decision, to the return address given in our acknowledgment. The item must be complete: accessories, cables, manuals and, as far as possible, original packaging.

Return shipping is at your expense. It depends on the carrier and the size of the package; as a guide, returning a smartphone costs around ten dollars and a laptop around fifteen dollars. These costs are not due when the return results from an error on our part, a defect or a misdescription: in that case, we cover the return and send you a prepaid label.

You are only liable for the diminished value of the item resulting from handling beyond what is needed to establish its nature, features and operation. You may therefore try the device as you would have in a store; we may however deduct an amount corresponding to the diminished value of a device that is visibly used or missing parts.

4. Refund

We refund everything you paid, including standard shipping charges, within fourteen days after we receive the item or the day you provide proof that it was shipped, whichever comes first.

The refund goes to the same payment method used for the order, unless you expressly agree to another one, at no cost to you. If you chose a shipping method more expensive than standard shipping, the difference is not refunded.

For a partial return, only the returned items are refunded; shipping charges are refunded when the whole order is returned.

5. Items excluded from the return policy

The 14-day return policy does not apply to:

• items made to your specifications or clearly personalized;
• audio or video recordings and computer software unsealed after delivery;
• digital content delivered without a physical medium once you have started downloading or streaming it with your express agreement;
• items that, once unsealed after delivery, cannot be returned for hygiene or health reasons, such as in-ear earbuds.

Opening the packaging does not by itself void the return policy outside these cases. These exclusions never affect your warranty rights for a defective product.
